A Baby-B is a personal supercomputer. A Baby-B condenses a Beowulf supercomputer cluster into a desktop system. Baby-B makes 16 cores of parallel processing power available to the user and avoids the disadvantages of "Big Iron" parallel Beowulf computers.
The Baby-B provides a start-to-finish Linux supercomputing environment -- each task associated with parallel processing can be completed with the machine on your desk. Software planning, development and debugging are easy with pre-installed support tools, and a truly parallel environment. New to parallel programming? Baby-B ships with an introductory manual to get you started. Your parallel software executes rapidly on all the cores with MPICH2 and the data generated by programs is immediately available. A suite of analysis software facilitates visualization and production of publication-quality graphics. A complete set of office and graphics software provides everything needed to produce reports and publications. It is a workcenter for parallel programmers and parallel program users alike.
